Work experience:
Airvana Systems, Chelmsford, Mass, Sr. Soft. Engr., 2004-present
Automated SQA testing in iTcl from a Linux platform, some USB driver work.
This is a rapidly changing operation which has required me to work in many areas. I've fixed, repaired, audited, created, and run automated TCL scripts as well as torn down, assembled, and transported equipment. I've fixed device drivers, configured Cisco routers, and configured Linux work stations. Clearcase, Linux, TCL and iTCL were used for development. This was not editing someone's canned procedures. I was support person to SIT. I build a test instrument with a RF attenuator Matrix that allowed access from both TCL test scripts and from HTML complete with linear interpolation. I also did some Kernel USB device driver work. Mostly Linux based development. Some Windows 2000 based development.
Cisco Systems, Boxboro, Mass, Sr. Soft. Engr. Real Time mixed radix FFT measurement tool.
In conjunction with QA's specifications I was solely responsible for creation of a scriptable test automation tool which generated/detected precise tones and the summarization of results in web pages. This was all done under FreeBSD.
This was a top to bottom tool, it did it's own FFTs in real time at the bottom and generated web pages at the top.
Cisco Systems, Chelmsford, Mass, Sr Soft Engr Part of a team which built a TCL based test called Tsunami tool for QA. I was responsible for the ISDN device driver. I was responsible for integration/debugging the other 3 device drivers. FreeBSD based. The Internet Travel Network, Palo Alto, California Sr. Soft. Engr. Multi vendor computer reservation system backend. I was responsible for bringing in new hardware and creating new backend software to allow access to multiple computer reservation systems reservation systems (SABRE, Apollo, WorlDSPan, SystemOne, Amadeues). Basically it is a router. I was also responsible for provisioning, and problem resolution with the respective Network Operation Centers. This was SCO/SunOS based. I worked remotely. IDT, Hackensack, NJ, Sr. Soft. Engr. Created a remote secure user/ppp account provisioning system for a IDT, for their associated ISP partners running Linux, FreeBSD and Solaris. Lockheed Sanders, Sr. Soft. Engr. HOT SWAP 4 channel serial device driver under Solaris. HOT SWAP S-BUS/VME-BUS pseudo nexus device driver, SCSI device Drivers. This was part of the AFMSS program. I was solely responsible for this work and it required reverse engineering SUN kernel code in Solaris.
