I have removed the Illustrated Script as well as the "text-only" English script for Mononoke Hime from this Web site, leaving only the English translation with Japanese dialogue version of the Annotated English Script.
Why did I do this?
As I progressed in my revision of the translation, it was becoming increasingly difficult for me to maintain multiple versions of the Annotated Script.
Many of the images from the Illustrated Script should soon be appearing in English-language books, making the Illustrated Script redundant.
I have heard indirectly about unhappiness at Studio Ghibli concerning the many independent Web sites that are using images from Ghibli movies. Ghibli's concern seems to be not any possible loss of revenues, but rather the lack of control over the quality and presentation of their work on independent Web sites. Please note that these concerns originate from Studio Ghibli itself, and not from Disney, which to my knowledge has said nothing about the matter.
Since I have great respect for Studio Ghibli's wishes with respect to their masterpieces, please do not ask me for a copy of the Illustrated Script; all such requests will be ignored.
I'd like to express my appreciation to the many people who have in the past sent me compliments concerning my work on the Illustrated Script. I hope everyone will continue to enjoy the remaining version of the Annotated Script as my work on it progresses.
