[Note:  "Tanaka" may refer to 田中干義 (TANAKA Motoyoshi (or Takuyoshi?)), who is listed in the credits for the Studio Ghibli film Heisei Tanuki Gassen Pompoko as one of two names under the title 制作デスク (seisaku desuku, "Production Desk").  The film Pompoko, for which Miyazaki acted as producer, was in preparation during the same period as Miyazaki was drawing the Hansu no kikan manga; Tanaka probably was one of Miyazaki's production assistants for the film.  Tanaka also worked on the Production Desk of Mononoke Hime, and is seen briefly in Vol. 3 of the video Making of Mononoke Hime.]
