Sun, 24 Mar 1996 12:03:49 -0500

Turn left onto Oak St. and go one block (0.1 miles) to Grove and turn
right. Go another 0.1 miles to the entrance to the municipal parking lot
which is on the left (North) side (sign says "Mun Center and Police Dept.").
Enter through the main doors off the parking lot. There will be signs.

(If you miss the turn onto Oak, just keep heading East on High. It makes
a "T" intersection with Main St. Turn left onto Main (still Rt. 9 - and
also now US 5) for one block until you come to Grove. Turn left again.
Parking lot entrance will be on the right in a hundred yards or so.)

The meeting is on the Second Floor in the Selectmen's Meeting Room which
is roughly in the NE corner of the building. Follow the signs.

If you are coming from Main St. you can enter through those doors as well.

PLACES TO EAT: For those of you who are diner fans, the place to go is the
Chelsea Royal Diner, in West Brattleboro. Approximately 3 miles West of I-91
Exit 2 on Rt. 9 (Western Ave.)

Walkers has a good, general selection at 132 Main - just South of the
High/Main junction on the West side.

A good Indian restaurant is India Palace at 69 Elliot St. To reach it,
turn right at the High/Main junction, go one block and turn right again.
This is Elliot, the India Palace is on the right in ~half a block.

A micro-brewery, McNeill's Brewery, is located at 90 Elliot.

The strip from High St. North along Rt. 9 (Main St. becoming Putney Rd.)
has several places to eat before Rt. 9 turns East to New Hampshire at Exit
3 off I-91. (Rt.9 in VT becomes Rt. 9 in NH.)
