MV Rates + Services: Referrals
You can receive referral credits for new accounts
If you are happy with your MV service, why not recommend us to
others? Any MV customer is eligible to receive referral credits
for new account signups, as long as:
- You are an MV customer and your monthly bill is at least
as much as a full rate
standard dialup IP account;
- Your current account balance is outstanding for no more than 30
days.
- You do not represent yourself to potential new customers as
an agent or representative of MV, but simply as a customer. It is
perfectly fine to disclose the nature and specifics of the referral
fee given.
- Similarly, that you do not engage in unethical promotion
of MV or in any way violate our
usage policies.
- The new account being referred meets the eligibility requirements
set out below.
New account credits
If you meet the criteria above, you will receive a one-time referral
credit for each new account that you recommend to MV, as long as the
new account meets these requirements:
- It is a new customer of MV communications, with a new
client relationship (and not combined with any existing account);
- It is a paying, non-discounted account;
- The new customer gives us your account number or other
account identifier as the referrer at the time they sign up;
- We receive the appropriate deposit or payment from the new
customer;
- The new account is one of the kinds of accounts set out in the
referral credit table below.
Details!
The referral credit you will receive is based on the kind of new account
created. The amount of the credit (one credit per each new account)
is determined by the kind of new account created:

Notes:
- The referral credit will be issued after the first two full
calendar months of service have been used and paid for.
- If the new customer initially signs up for multiple accounts, the
referral credit will only be given for one of them -- the one that results
in the highest referral credit.
- From time to time there may be promotional specials for specific
account types or packages that modify the referral credits for that kind
of account. If so, the description page for that account type will
address the referral credit.
If you are wondering about a kind of new account that isn't listed in
the table above, then either it is not eligible for a referral
credit, or we have overlooked it. If the latter seems likely, feel
free to ask us.
