What is a Frame Relay account?A Frame Relay account provides you with a high-speed dedicated Internet connection. It is similar to a T1 circuit, but allows us to serve several customers on a single connection at our location. This means there is some sharing of that single connection, thus the frame relay pricing is based on a standard usage model.Additionally, the underlying frame relay circuit price does not depend on how close you are to our Manchester, NH location (as do T1 prices). For this reason frame relay is often a very good alternative to a T1 circuit. |

Equipment: Customer premise equipment is required and can be purchased from MV or provided by MV at an additional monthly rate -- in these cases, MV will perform the configuration of this equipment so that it is ready to plug in and go. See CPE description for information on the equipment that can be obtained through MV. Alternatively, you can provide your own site equipment, in which case MV may not be able to assist with setup nor guarantee operability.
Circuit cost: Frame Relay service relies on underlying Fairpoint circuits. Circuit cost may change over time as a result of Fairpoint's tariff changes, and changes in state and local fees. Your frame relay bill may be adjusted to reflect such changes.
Circuit installation: MV will arrange the installation and maintenance of the Fairpoint curcuit, and will bill you for the Fairpoint component. Unless you specifically want to deal with Fairpoint, your only maintenance and billing contact will be MV.
