What is a Dormant Dialup IP account?
A Dormant Dialup IP is like a
Standard Dialup IP account,
but with some restrictions: mainly that, quixotically, you
don't use it for dialup access. You use it to maintain
one or more mailbox accounts,
and the associated Standard Web Page.
Note that while the Dormant Dialup IP account comes with
mail and web space, there are somewhat more limited than
with the Standard IP account.
The Dormant Dialup IP account was originally a hidden offering,
intended to be used for someone who was moving, and who needed to
maintain email forwarding and web redirection for a short period of
time. Since those things are useful on a more permanent basis as
well, we made the dormant account a permanent (and non-hidden)
offering.

Dormant Dialup IP account:
$5.00/month
Web Space (Home Page):
With a Dormant IP account, you can have a standard web
service with up to 2 MB of disk storage and up to 100 MB
of data transferred each month.
Mailboxes:
Up to 2 mailboxes are included with the Dormant IP account. Each mailbox
is actually a mailbox account, offering you a
primary inbox that you can access with either POP or IMAP protocols,
storage of mail folders that you can access via IMAP, and access to our
filtering tools and web-based webmail interface.
Converting Account Type:
You can convert your Standard IP account into one of the other types
of IP accounts. See details.
Discounts:
Dormant IP accounts are not eligible for discounts.
A $25 non-refundable payment is required to create the account.
The payment, plus an additional $5, will be credited to your account
against future charges. Thus your initial $25 payment turns into a
$30 non-refundable credit.
