 How to get the BEST tan for
your money:
- When building your initial base tan it
is best to come several days in a row. (4-5 visits should
do)
- Please arrive for your appointment on
time. Someone else may be right behind you. If you are late,
your time may be shortened to accommodate the following
appointment.
- If you fail to show up for your
appointment or fail to give a 2 hour notice, you will be
penalized. A $2.00 fee will be charged to your account or a
visit taken off your tanning package.
- Lotions DO Work! Lotions will
accelerate the building of your tan by increasing the
production of melanin, which is what gives you the tan
color. Accelerators should be applied twenty (20) minutes
prior to your tanning session and immediately following your
tanning session, if possible to extend melanin process.
Amplifiers flatten your skins natural reflective properties
allowing you to recive more tanning rays. You may tan
without lotion, however you will not tan as fast and your
tan will fade sooner.
- Ladies remove all make-up prior to
tanning. Some cosmetics contain sunscreens.
- Remove all jewelry. Scratched acrylics
distort and deteriorate tanning rays.
- DO NOT shower for two (2) hours after
your tanning session. Showering cools off the melanin
darkening process.
- After every shower use a moisturizer. (
Some accelerator lotions contain a natural moisturizer).
Avoid moisturizers with perfume, since they can dry your
skin.
- If you should develop a rash or itch,
use a aloe vera moisturizer (without perfume) and skip a
tanning session. If the rash or itch continues to persist
for more than one day. advise the salon operator of the
problem. We have a aloe product designed for the
problem.
