When difficult issues arise for an individual or a few individuals, the Clearness process helps us slow down and seek truth and healing together.
Many different situations might call for a clearness meeting. For example, two people who realize they need help communicating might ask for a clearness meeting, or others might ask them to have one; someone with difficult decision to make, such as where to go to college, might request a clearness; if a student is struggling with a community agreement, the first step is always a clearness meeting.
Clearness committees are made up of a small group of students and faculty with whom the focus person feels comfortable. The structure equalizes power and creates space for everyone to speak their truth, and to be deeply heard. Amazing transformations occur in the sacred space that clearness committees hold for one another.
