Faculty and students work together on all the necessary work to sustain the school.  No one is hired just to cook or clean.  Students and faculty cook all meals, chop and stack wood for the furnaces, clean the campus, garden, care for animals, and do many maintenance and construction projects.  You also might help take care of faculty children, or help clean the office or other community spaces.  For some students work like this is a new skill; others already have experience cooking and doing physical labor.  For everyone, it is a chance to give to one another and make an essential contribution to the community life.
