The Meeting School's size (30-35 students) helps to ensure our ability to connect deeply with every student and to maintain a home-like environment. In such a close working environment a depth of relationship forms between faculty and student that is rich in love and trust.

"I have taught for many years in a more traditional "small" preparatory school setting where the average dorm was approximately 25 students. In that scenario, I became close to about 1/4 of the young people in my charge, and barely knew many others. At The Meeting School, I know each of the students in my house intimately, and have come to care for them with a passion and commitment that feels more like parenting than I could have imagined. Much as we nag them at times to clean, cook, or care for one another more effectively, I believe they love and thrive on the closeness of our house, and the feelings of security it generates." - faculty member
