I am attending school at the lycée half of the Lycée-Collège St-Charles. Collège doesn't mean college, it means middle school. Lycée is high school. There are 3 years, so it's a bit hard to exactly correlate it to American grades. The 3 years are seconde, première, and terminale, in that order. I'm in seconde, so it's about a freshman-sophomore level. I've already done all of the material back in the states. Following it all in French provided a bit of challenge at first, but now that I understand it all with ease, it's easy. :-) But reading Socrates and the like in French is still kinda difficult. :) I had 6 classes: Physics/Chemistry; Biology/Earth Science; English (HA! :) ); French; History/Geography; and Math, but I got out of math to do my AP calc back in October, and I haven't been to English class in months. So now I just have 4 classes.
It's an old, private, Catholic school. In fact, this year is the 150th anniversary. There's lots of celebratory stuff going on, all culminating in a day-long celebration in the spring. It's supposed to be like a carnival-type deal. There are rumors of a bungee-jumping crane. We'll see...My parents will be getting here the day before, so I doubt I'll be there.
I'm going to try to get a picture of the school up here soon. You can see a bit of the courtyard in a bunch of the pics on the friends page.
