My experiences at CTY were the best. I spent three weeks at Hamilton College the past 2 summers taking French I ('95) and US Law and Politics ('96). I didn't know anybody else when I arrived the first year, but by the time I left, I had made better friends than I had had back at home. I knew a few people the second year, but I still made loads of new friends. I still keep in touch with a lot of them through the wonders of E-MAIL!!!
It wasn't only a great social experience, however. As crazy as it may sound, I really enjoyed going to one class for 5 hours a day and then returning for a mandatory 2 hour study hall at night. I really had fun. It was the first time ever that I was not bored in a classroom. I had to pay attention in class in order to get good grades. That was a new feeling for me.
I would like to personally thank my Instructors, T.A.s, R.A.s, the rest of the staff, and all of my friends for 2 incredible summers. You know who you are.... ;-)
