Here's a sampling of my favorite singers/bands/artists/composers...links are to their official pages. I know they're not always the best pages, but they tend to be the most accurate in terms of news. Go to the Ultimate Band List for unofficial fan pages, lyrics, photo galleries, etc. Warning...this is a very eclectic mix...

• Indigo Girls--GODDESSES!
• Barenaked Ladies--the old stuff too, you trendoids!! ever heard of "gordon"?
• Guesthouse--A band based out of Indiana University, where my brother Mike is. He got me hooked on them. They're a great mix of jazz and rock.
• Big Bad Voodoo Daddy--Gotta love swing...
• Squirrel Nut Zippers--see above :)
• Dianne Reeves--fabulous jazz voice...her live Paris album is amazing.
• Ben Harper--I like his old stuff ("Welcome to the Cruel World") better than the new stuff, but it's all good.
• Once Blue--seeing that they never had an official site, and have since broken up, anyway, i'll be putting up a little site for my wannabe tribute band soon...lisa--CODE BLUE!
• Dave Matthews Band--gotta love it
• Rusted Root--"all i want is food and creative love!!"
• They Might Be Giants--"i'm the only bee in your bonnet!" (CTY dances will live on forever! Where's Wade when we need him??)
• R.E.M.--"Automatic For the People" is my favorite album of theirs..."Nightswimming" is one of my favorite songs.
• Harry Connick, Jr.--"Star Turtle" is an amazing album. He' such a diverse artist...funk, jazz, acting, he does it all! He's also one of my favorite actors.
• Paul Winter Consort--great classical with an edge. I also happen to know them personally! :) "Concert for the Earth" is the must-have album.
• George Winston--amazing pianist. His accompaniment to "The Velveteen Rabbit" is one of my favorite childhood memories. "December" is the must-have album.
• The Beatles--you know them, you love the, but there's no official site! At least not that I could find...
• Mozart--no official site for this guy, either....go fig. :) He just rocks.
• Simon & Garfunkel--It's such a shame they had to break up...the 3 cd set with all 5 albums on it is an absolute must-have!! I'm sure there's at least a "definitive" site, if not an official one...anybody got a URL?

theatre
I used to get my theatrical kicks on the stage, but ever since freshman year, I've had my fun behind the scenes doing mostly light design.

The shows I've enjoyed most: "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown", "Godspell", "Matchmaker", and many others...I'll try to get a real list of the shows I've done up here soon...

photography
This year in France (see Café Beth) has provided me with myriad opportunities to really get into photography. My first host family had a darkroom, and I learned how to develop my own prints. However, I enjoy the actual composition of the photo more than the developping. I also tend to like the color prints better, although that depends.
