CD "Brucelegs" Remote Information
Description
A feature of the "Brucelegs" pages is the CD "BRUCELEGS" REMOTE. A remote is a small window that contains links to various sites and/or files within a site. Clicking on a link from within the remote either updates the main browser window (if present) or opens a new browser window. The CD "BRUCELEGS" REMOTE contains most of the same icons as seen on the Brucelegs main page and which can directly link to sections within this site.
Resizing The Remote Window
The remote window can be resized in a variety of ways - vertically or horizontally. However, this depends on your machine and/or operating system level and what browser (or browser version) you are using. It also can be minimized or otherwise kept active after leaving this site. In this way, you can surf the net using your main browser window - but if you want to return to any section of this site, just click on the appropriate icon within the CD "BRUCELEGS" REMOTE and you're back.
"Remote Front" & "Remote Back" Buttons
When you first invoke CD "BRUCELEGS" REMOTE, the default is for it to always remain the front-most window. Even if you click on another browser window, the CD "BRUCELEGS" REMOTE will automatically reappear as the front-most browser window in less than a second. However, this depends on your machine and/or operating system level and what browser (or browser version) you are using - it doesn't work on my Mac but does on my Windows machine. If you would like the CD "BRUCELEGS" REMOTE to remain open but hidden in back of other open browser window(s) click on the "Remote Back" button. To reset the CD "BRUCELEGS" REMOTE back to always remain the front-most window, click on the "Remote Front" button.
Limitations
Unfortunately, the CD "BRUCELEGS" REMOTE doesn't truly work as intended for those folks whose browser doesn't support "frames." You will need to upgrade your browser to a version that does support "frames" to use this feature.
