John took his entire Reiki training with Mrs. Hawayo Takata, who brought Reiki to the West from Japan. He has conducted over six hundred Reiki classes. Much of the workshop content is drawn from his more than ten thousand private Reiki sessions. John is the founder and a minister of the Church of the Loving Servant, a non-denominational church devoted to spiritual healing. John was named 1994 Presenter of the Year by Interface of Newtonville, Mass.
John’s wife and business partner, Lourdes Gray, Ph.D., continues with John to develop their highly acclaimed Usui-Gray Integrated Reiki System. Lourdes became a Reiki Master Teacher certified by John from Hawayo Takata in 1996. She has conducted over 400 Reiki workshops since then. She holds a Ph.D. in Parapsychology and is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Regression Specialist. Lourdes brings to the workshops her own extensive experience using Reiki in treating degenerative conditions such as arthritis and cancer and alleviating pain both physical and emotional.
