You will only need to do three things to be really successful on this team.  The three things are:

	show up every day
	be prepared
	behave

  It sounds so simple!  It actually really is simple!  Let's consider our three "rules" a bit more.   The first one is a no-brainer -- show up.  You obviously can't learn if you're not here.  So come every day and be punctual.  The second one is a bit more challenging.   Always be prepared.  I sound like a boy scout, I know.  But it's a great motto, so I use it here.  Being prepared means that you must be in class ready to work and think.  This includes doing your homework the night before, having all of the supplies you need, and jump starting your brain so that it is up and running before you come in the door.  This is no small task, but it is certainly possible ... and expected.   The last entry on our short list is a common sense item.  Behave.  Act respectfully could have been substituted in our list and done just as nicely    I demand that students treat themselves, their teachers, their classrooms and each other with respect. If everyone lives by these standards, we will all benefit and be enriched by a wonderful learning environment.

So that's it --- the three rules to live by.  If you can manage it, the world is your oyster!
