(James) Campion Skating Rink- Hanover, NH 643-1222

Follow I-93 North to I-89 North. Take I-89 North to Exit 19 in Lebanon. This will be Route 10 North towards Hanover.
You will go past car dealerships and through a few lights finally coming to a set of lights with a Dunkin Donuts on your right.
Go through these lights. About 2 miles up the road, some soccer fields will be on your right.
Campion Rink is back behind these soccer fields. Tough to see from this direction. If you start down a hill with Pine Tree
Cemetery on your left (or you end up in Hanover Center) you've gone too far.

Clark Memorial Rink - Winchendon MA

Take 101W out of Manchester. Continue approx. 35 miles to Peterborough and take a left onto Rt. 202 South. Take 202
South (18 miles) into Winchendon. Follow 202 South to the center of town. The rink is on the left just after a strip mall with a
grocery store in it behind the Clark Memorial School.


Dover Arena - Dover, NH 743-6060

(Has skate sharpening available, laces and tape. There is a snack bar too.)
Take Route 101 East to Route 125 North.
Stay on Route 125 North until Lee traffic circle, take Rt. 4 East (1st right off traffic circle), go about 2 miles on Rt. 4 take 155
North exit (1st exit off Rt. 4) at bottom of off ramp turn left. You’re now on Rt. 155 heading North. Stay on Route 155 all the
way into Dover. Rt. 155 does an “S” turn as it crosses over the Spaulding Turnpike and becomes Silver St. As you start to get
into Dover. Stay on Silver St through 3 lights. The last light is at Central Ave a “T” intersection. Go Left. Central Ave curves
down a hill through town to a 5-way light. Take a right at this light, (not the hard right) go with the flow of traffic. The road after
this light is a 2-Lane one way St., stay in the right hand lane. 200 yards after the light the road curves hard left about 90-degrees.
After this curve (about 50 yards) you’ll see a sign for Rt.4 on a telephone pole, the street is called Portland Ave. Take this right. (About a 45 degree turn) The road forks about 50 yards after the right, stay to the left. About 1-1/2 miles up the road at the crest of a large hill you’ll see the Arena on the left. If you get to the light you’ve gone too far by about 100 yards. Philbricks Sports Store is just past the rink on the right.

Everett Arena - Concord NH 224-5633

From the South:
I-93 North to exit 14. Take a right at the bottom of the ramp. Rink is _ mile up on the left.
From the East:
Take Rt. 4 West to Rt. 393 to I-93 South. Take first exit off 93 exit 14. Go left at bottom of ramp for _ mile, rink is on the left.


Fairgrounds Arena - Keene, NH 357-4740

From Concord:
I-89 North to exit 5. Follow Rte 9 into Keene. At the lights, take a left.
Go straight through the next set of lights and right at the next set onto Rte. 12 South.
Keep straight until you see the fairgrounds on your right. The entrance to the rink is at the end of the fairgrounds.
From Manchester:
293 West to 101 West. Stay on 101 West into Keene. At the second set of lights, take a left onto Rte 12 South. There is a Tire Warehouse on your left at these lights.
Follow Rte. 12 South until you see the fairgrounds on your right. The entrance is at the end of the fairgrounds.

Ham Arena - Conway, NH

From the South and West:
Follow Route 16 (or Route 112) to the intersection of 16 & 112. About _ mile past the intersection, just over the railroad tracks, is a right hand turn to West Main St.. The turn is directly across Route 16 from Kennett High School. Turn right onto West Main and follow for one block. The arena is on your left.
From the North and East:
Follow Route 16 (or Route 302 and 113) through Conway. About _ mile past the intersection of 16 and 113, just before the railroad tracks, is a left hand turn to West Main Street. The turn is directly across Route 16 from Kennett High School. Turn left onto West Main and follow for one block. The arena is on your left.

Ice Den - Hooksett, NH

From 93 North
Take Exit 10 off I-93 in Hooksett, NH.
Bear right off the exit ramp on to West River Road. The first street on the right (+/-300 yards, across from the Irving gas station and movie theatre entrance) this is Quality Drive -- turn right Follow for approximately 1/8th of a mile and the Ice Den will be on your left.
From Rte 3 North aka(293)
Take exit 7 after passing thru Manchester. Go about 2 1/2 miles. You will see the Rte.93 overpass. Pass underneath about +/-300 yards. Across from the Irving gas station and movie theatre entrance) this is Quality Drive -- turn right. Follow for approximately 1/8th of a mile and the Ice Den will be on your left.

Jackson Landing - Durham, NH 868-3907

From the South:
Take I-93 N to Route 101 East to Route 125 North
Stay on Route 125 North until the Epping Traffic Circle. At the Traffic circle get on Route 4 East (Route 4 East is the 1st right off of the circle.)
Stay on Route 4 East, and take the Route 108 Exit.
At the Bottom of the Ramp, take a right.
The rink is your 1st left, approx. 1/8 mile up Route 108.

JFK Coliseum - Manchester, NH 624-6567

From the East:
Take 101 West. As you near Manchester, 101 Forks to merge with 93. Take the 93 N fork (even though the sign says this goes to Concord) Once 101 merges with 93 N stay in the right hand lane and take the first exit (Wellington Rd.-Bridge St exit) which is about 1 mile after the merge. At the end of the off ramp bear right merging with Wellington Rd. Go through the next two lights, you are now on Bridge St. Bridge St will become a long hill descending toward downtown Manchester. As the hill flattens out take a left at the second light (Beech St). This is a one way St heading south. Go approximately 3 Miles on Beech St. through 4 lights. After the fourth light the JFK will be on the left abutting the back of Gill Stadium. If you get to the light at Valley St you’ve gone too far.
From the North or South:
Take Interstate 93 North or South toward Manchester. Take the Wellington Rd.-Bridge St. Exit off 93. Follow Directions above from Bridge St. to the JFK Coliseum.


Laconia Ice Arena - 444 Rt. 107, Laconia NH 528-0789

From the South:
North on I-93. Take exit 20 (Tilton, Lakes region). Take route 3 East towards Laconia. Stay on route 3 until downtown Laconia (8 Miles).
At intersection of routes 3 &11 and Rt. 106 &107 take a right onto Rt. 106 & 107 south. Stay on Rt. 107 as it will fork left 1/4 mile from the intersection.
The rink is 1/4 mile from that fork on the left.
If you pass the rink, in 1/4 mile you will see the Belmont town line.
Directions from the Seacoast:
Spaulding Turnpike (Rt. 16) to exit 15 Rt. 11 North. Rt. 11 North to the Alton traffic circle, continue into town to Rt. 140. (It's on the left just past the town hall.) Follow this route until the intersection of Rt. 140 and 107. (Small mom and pop store across on the right.) Take a right onto 107.
Continue until you reach the rink on your right.
Approx. time of travel from Alton to rink, 25 min.
Alternate route:
Stay on Rt. 11 North to Gilford. Take the Laconia by-pass 2 exits to Rt.
107. Take a left onto 107 approx. 2/10 of a mile. Rink is on the Left.

Lee Clement Arena - New England College - Henniker, NH

From 89 North take Exit 5 (Rt. 202 and 9). This is a left hand exit.
Follow Route 202 and 9 to Rt. 114 South ~ 8 miles (Henniker exit) Watch for the Pats Peak ski area exit.
Follow Route 114 South until the center of Henniker, ~ 1 mile.
The center of Henniker has a blinking yellow light. Go through the light, over a stone bridge and up a small hill. The college will be on your right the whole way after crossing the bridge.
At the top of the small hill, there will be a flag pole on your right and the road forks here. Take the right fork, and take another right hand turn. Follow the road for maybe 50 yards and there will be another right.
The rink is the second building down this road. Park wherever you can.

The Rinks - Exeter NH 775-7423 2 Rinks

From the West or East:
Rt. 101 East or West
Take exit 9 for Rt. 27. Head toward Exeter (from the West [Manchester] take a right) (from the East [Hampton] take a left) off the exit going into Exeter.
3/4 mile on Rt. 27 you’ll see a Dreher-Holloway car dealership on the right then a funeral home on the left after Dreher-Holloway. The road (Industrial Drive) to the rink is on the left immediately after the funeral home.
Rink is on the left.

Notre Dame Arena - Berlin, NH 752-9846

From the South (where else !!):
Take I-93 North to exit 35 (after Franconia Notch Parkway and Cannon Mountain Ski Area)-this is Route 3.
Follow Route 3 into Twin Mtn, go straight on Rte 3 thru the first set of lights(Rt. 302). At the flashing yellow light about a mile from there, take a right onto 115 North. Follow 115N to the junction of Rte 2. Turn right onto Rte 2 East and follow that to the lights in Gorham. (Junction of Rtes 2 and 16). Turn left at the lights onto Rte 16 North. Follow Directions from Gorham below.
From the East:
Take Spaulding Turnpike (aka Rt.16) North past Rochester, Ossipee,
N. Conway, 5 miles past N. Conway take a right at the light (Intersection of 302 & Rt. 16 in Glen, toward Mt Washington \ Pinkham Notch). Go ~21 miles to the “T” intersection of Rt. 16 and Rt. 2 in Gorham. (Stop sign?) Go left, through Gorham to the intersection of Rt. 2 and Rt. 16 at a set of lights, bear right onto Rt. 16 . Follow Directions from Gorham below.
Once in Gorham:
Follow 16N into Berlin, straight through the first set of lights. After the lanes split, you'll go up a small hill. When you reach the top of that hill, there will be a bank directly in front of you and a movie theater on your right. Bear left and go through that set of lights. You'll go under a railroad bridge, and past the police station on your left. Bear right around the corner and go straight for about 1/4 mile. You'll cross some railroad tracks, Kentucky Fried Chicken will be on your right; the rink is on your left.

Pop Whalen Rink - Wolfeboro, NH 569-5639

From the South:
Take 93 North to Concord. In Concord, take 393/4 East. 393 turns into State Route 4 after ~ 8 miles. Follow route 4 to Route 28 N to Alton Traffic Circle. Follow Directions below for Rt. 28 into Wolfeboro.
From Seacoast.
Take Spaulding Turnpike North. Take Exit 15 onto Rt. 11 North. Take 11 to Alton Traffic Circle, stay to the right. Follow Directions below for Rt. 28 into Wolfeboro.
From Alton Circle:
Take Route 28 North into Wolfeboro. Once in Wolfeboro you’ll go past Kingswood HS and Brewster Academy. About _ mile past Brewster, Route 28 goes right at the lights (“the corner store”) Follow 28 North until 109A forks to the left from route 28 (about 3/4 mile from the light). Follow 109A for about 3 miles, This is a back road which looks like it’s going nowhere. The rink is on left side of the road at the base of the Abenaki Ski Area.

Salem Icenter - Salem, NH 2 Rinks

Rt. 93 to Exit 2. At the end of the ramp turn left. Follow the road for a short distance (1/4 mi) and take left onto Stiles Rd. Go about _ mile and rink will be on your right. (Rt. 38).

Rochester YMCA Rink - Rochester, NH 335-6749

Take Route 101 East to Route 125 North
Stay on Route 125 North ~ 20 miles. As you enter Rochester you go under the Spaulding Turnpike.
At the fourth set of lights, past the Spaulding Turnpike the road will fork (take the right fork). Take an immediate (50 yards) right onto Lowell St. There will be a YMCA sign with a Rochester Rink sign right underneath.
The Rink is up the road a few hundred yards on the right.
Travel Time from Manchester, ~ 45 minutes. (no traffic)


Skate 3 - Tyngsboro, Mass. (978) 649-7913 3 Rinks
Climate: cold Shower: Yes (but I wouldn’t use it)
Follow F.E. Everett Turnpike (Toll Road) South into Massachusetts.
Take Exit 35 (Tyngsboro-Dunstable). (1st Exit in Massachusetts)
Take a Right off the exit ramp. Drive over the highway overpass and continue about 1 mile until set of traffic lights.
Take a left onto Middlesex Rd. heading back towards Nashua, NH.
Travel about 1 mile, Skate 3 will be on your right.

Tri-Town Rink - Hooksett, NH 485-1100 2 Rinks

Take Rt. 93 N or S to Exit 11 go through toll booth take a left. At the bottom of the hill go right (South on Rt. 3A) approximately 1 mile. Rink is on the left.
From Manchester: Rt. 293 North to Exit 7 (Rt. 3A) Follow Rt. 3A approx 5 miles. You will pass under Rt. 93. Rink is on your right.


West Side Arena - Manchester, NH 624-6574

Follow Directions into Manchester as given for the JFK Coliseum.
Once you get on Bridge St. follow it all the way through town until you cross the Merrimack River. Once over the Bridge St Bridge (Merrimack River) you come to a light. Bear right. Go Approximately _ mile and take a left at the blinking yellow light (Bremer St.). Stay on Bremer St. all the way to its end ~1_ miles. Bremer St goes down a steep hill after a 4-way Stop Sign. At the Bottom of the hill you come to a stop sign (“T” intersection), go left (Electric St.). This road ends at the Arena.


Whittemore Center - UNH Campus - Durham NH

From the West:
Rt. 101 to Rt. 125 North. (Or Rt. 4 West from Concord) to the Lee Traffic Circle take Rt. 4 East from the Circle.
Go 3-4 miles on Rt. 4 to the Rt. 155A exit. This is the second exit from the traffic circle on Rt. 4, there is a sign for UNH as well. Go right at bottom of ramp. ~ 1-1/2 miles into Durham. As you enter the campus of UNH there will be tennis courts on your right just before you go up a short hill. At the top of this hill you’ll see the Whittemore Center on the left. As you go down the hill take a sharp left (almost reversing directions) Before you get to the lights. Follow this rd to the end and park. This is the back entrance to the rink. Refs rooms are on the left near where the zamboni enters the ice.


Rinks at Prep/Private Schools


Akerstrom Rink Kimball Union Academy - Meriden, NH 469-3211

Shortcut directions (Do not do in bad weather. You might have trouble with the hill)
I-93N to I-89N Exit 16 (Truck Stop). Left off exit. Right at Burger King/Mobil. Road soon curves sharply to the left and goes up long hill.
At 4 corners, take right. At end of road take left onto Rt. 120 South.
Follow Route 120 for about 3-5 miles into Meriden. Take a right @ four corner intersection (you can see KUA to right). The rink is on right 1/4 mile down.
Alternate (bad weather) directions
Take I-93 N to I-89 N, take exit 18 to Rt. 120 South. Go thru town of Lebanon. School is 8 miles south of Lebanon. Take a right @ four corner intersection (you can see KUA to right). The rink is on right 1/4 mile down.


Holderness School Rink - Plymouth NH 536-1257

Take I-93 N to exit 25. Go left off the exit to Rt. 175. Rink is on the left about 300 yards

Lindsay Ice Arena - New Hampton School, New Hampton, NH 744-5401
Climate: outdoors Shower: Yes (in fieldhouse)
Take I-93 North to Exit 23 - Route 104
Take a left at the end of the Exit Ramp onto Rt. 104 West.
Immediately after going under the Highway, take your 1st left. This is Shingle Camp Hill Road. The left is immediately after the overpass and directly opposite the entrance to I-93 South.
This is a curvy, hilly road. In approx. _ mile watch for Dr. Childs Road on your right. The sign is impossible to read coming down the hill. Just keep your eyes open for right. If you come to a stop sign you've gone too far.
Take Dr. Childs Road till you see Lindsay Ice Arena on your right. Park in lot on right next to rink. The dressing room is on the parking lot side of the rink.
Bathrooms/Showers are across the street in the Fieldhouse.

Malcolm Gordon Memorial Rink (St. Paul’s School) – 2 Rinks Concord, NH 225-3341

From the South:
Rt. I-93 N to I-89 N Take exit 2, turn left on Rt. 13. Take next right onto Silk Farm Rd. At end of Silk Farm Road turn Right onto School Grounds. Take your next left and follow signs for the rink.


Phillips Exeter Academy - Exeter, NH 772-4311 x403 2 Rinks
Climate: moderate Shower: Yes (In coach’s locker room)
Take Route 101 East to Route 85 South. Stay on Route 85 South until you get to a stop sign. Route 85 is twisty and narrow but just follow the main road.
After taking the left, you’ll enter Exeter center in about _ mile. At the bandstand you’ll take a right to get onto Route 108 South also known as Court St.
Once you take the right onto Route 108 south, you’ll go up a small hill. At the top of the hill you’ll have to turn left to stay on Route 108 south. The road is well marked. Route 108 south is also called Court Street.
After about a _ mile you’ll see some tennis courts and an open field on your left. Then you’ll notice an ugly cement and steel building. This is the hockey rink. Take a left onto the road between the tennis courts and building. Park along the fence and walk down between the gates. Entrance is up the 1st set of cement steps.
Dress in room between rinks. Showers are in coach’s locker room up the hallway on the left.

Proctor Academy - Andover, NH 735-5849
Climate: very cold Shower: Yes (In athletic/coaches office)
Take I-93 North to Exit 17 - Route 4 West.
Stay on Route 4 West about 20 miles. Route 4 is a rural highway. Road is dark and curvy. Any kind of bad weather, and driving will be slow.
Proctor Academy is in Andover and will be on the right when you enter Andover.
Take a right on Field House Drive and the rink is way out back.

Tilton School Rink - Tilton School, Tilton, NH 286-4342
Climate: cold Shower: Yes
From the south:
Take 93 north to Laconia-Tilton Exit 20.
At the top of the ramp go left. Go through 3 or 4 sets of lights heading down a hill around a curve to the right into Tilton. Just as you enter Tilton there will be a Center Island with a statue on it, Take a Right immediately past this island.
This will be School St. Go up the Hill. In approx. _ mile look for the signs (on the right) to the Field House and Rink. (Second Right after the Chapel).


Vermont Academy Rink - Saxton’s River, VT. (802) 869-2121
Climate: very cold Shower: Yes (in fieldhouse)
Get a map and get yourself to the Bellows Falls area of Vt. From I-91 in Vermont: Take exit 5 off I-91S. Go right at the end of the ramp, go to top off the hill and turn right. Go 3 miles then take left onto Rt. 121 into Saxton’s River. Take second right (Pleasant St.), take second left off Pleasant St. onto Shepard Lane.
Rink is on right at the top of the hill.
