For those riders new to the saddle or still developing a balanced effective seat, Vitor has developed a systematic method of developing the riders seat and effectiveness of aids on the lunge-line. Here the rider develops the balance, rhythm, and feel within the movement of the horse. Once the rider progresses through the process of developing balance, Vitor and his equine schoolmasters introduce and reinforce the rider's understanding and feel of effective aids. This time and preparation on the lunge-line allows the student to develop the ability to follow the movement of the horse without inhibiting it
to ask of the horse with great finesse and to allow the desired movement.
Once the rider has developed an effective seat, Vitor works with his students in either the group or private sessions. During these lessons, Vitor continues the development of the seat and the evolution of the feel, balance, timing and, ultimately, the deeper understanding of the classical principles of dressage.
Each rider is introduced to, or learns refinement of, proper lightness and correctness of all the lateral work at the walk trot and canter.
Vitor introduces the high school movements of piaffe and passage early in the rider's development in order for them to become an integral part of their training.
