This was our 16th cruise. I am sixty two years old and once again my wife does not want me to tell you how old she is. We have never taken a cruise that we did not like and this was no different. Certainly there are some cruises we liked better than others. We had never sailed with Carnival Cruise Line and didn't quite know what to expect. We like Royal Caribbean and Celebrity cruise lines better but that does not mean we would not travel with Carnival again. There were several small differences but the one that I found most annoying was not having a tray in the Lido cafeteria. For breakfast I usually like a coffee, orange juice, water, toast with bacon and eggs. There is no way you can get all of this in one trip. Houdini could not stack the necessary plates and glasses and make it to the table.
This was our second Great Group Cruise and enjoyed it very much. If you have never participated in a GGC you should consider doing so. We went with four other couples. Two of the couples come from our city of Manchester NH (Bob & Marilyn and Dot & Lionel). We have been on many cruises with Dot & Lionel but this is our first cruise with Bob & Marilyn even though they are veterans of 20+ cruises. We met Matt & Ginny (NJ) on our cruise to Alaska in 1996 and have been on several cruises with them since then. We met John & Jane (Chicago) on our cruise to Hawaii in October of 2001 and they decided to join us on this cruise. Hopefully we will all be on many more cruises. My wife and I are looking forward to a possible cruise again next year with GGC2003.
It is possible to meet many new friends on a GGC cruise. You can participate in all or none of the functions as you wish.
All pictures were taken with a digital camera Olympus C3040zoom. Some of the pictures were taken with a wide angle lens.We have been on multiple cruises and have enjoyed each and everyone of them.
