THOMAS HART, New Britain, Conn., second son of Philip, born 1838. He enlisted into the late army in Company F, 14th Regiment, where he was promoted, and was killed, December, 1862, aged 24 years. HENRY WILLIAM HART, New Britain, eldest son of Deacon William. He enlisted into the 2d Connecticut Light Battery Aug. 5th, 1862, was in many hard fought battles, and was honorably discharged August 10th, 1865. WILLYS HART, Southington, eldest son of Chauncey, born 1789. He entered the army of 1812, and was stationed at Flatbush, where he deserted. For the third time he was tried by a court-martial, found guilty, and shot, but unjustly, for it was found he was subject to fits and insanity. SHERMAN HART, second son of Chauncey, of Southington, born 1791; enlisted into the army of 1812, and served out his time; married Elizabeth Smith. He died in 1846. HENRY CLAY HART, youngest son of Oremus, of Brookfield, Trumbull County, Ohio, born 1833. He entered the army of the late war, and died at Andersonville. ANDREW EDWIN HART, eldest son of Philip, of New Britain, born 1834. He was a soldier in the 20th Regiment Connecticut Volunteers some nine months. HENRY HART, Farmington. He was in Company B, 7th Regiment' Connecticut Volunteers, and died at Hilton Head. RICHARD HART, a veteran soldier of Company B, 7th Regiment Connecticut Volunteers. He returned safe, but died May 7th, 1874. LEWIS HART, a mechanic of Unionville. He served three years in Company A, Connecticut Cavalry. DAVIS HART, Winsted, Conn., a veteran private of Company A, 10th Regiment Massachusetts Volunteers; died in the 6th Corps Hospital at Fredericksburg, May 20th, 1864. GEORGE LEMUEL HART, son of Newton, of Egremont. He was three years a member of Company A, 10th Regiment Massachusetts Volunteers, and one year in the 36th Regiment of the same state. TIMOTHY ARD HART, West Winsted, Conn., son of Newton. He served as corporal in Company E, 2d Regiment Heavy Artillery. LEMUEL HART, Sparta only son of Amos. He was in Company H, 68th Regiment Indiana Volunteers, and was discharged for sickness, but recovered, and enlisted in Company K, 91st Regiment. FREDERIC MOSES HART, Unionville, Conn., son of Ambrose. He was in Company C, 16th Regiment Connecticut Volunteers, and was made a prisoner at Andersonville and Florence, where he endured every indignity connected with starvation. ALMON J.
