1736-7. He was first lieutenant of 7th company, 5th battalion, under Colonel Douglass, Bunnel, captain. He died about 1800.

MAJOR JONATHAN HEART, Kensington, second son of Deacon Ebenezer, born 1744; graduated at Yale in 1768; was in public service in the army from 1775 to his death at St. Clair's defeat.

DR. JOHN HART, Kensington, fourth son of Deacon Ebenezer. He was surgeon in the army of the revolution; graduated at Yale in 1776; he also entered the naval service of the United States.

DR. JOSIAH HART, New Britain and Wethersfield. He was a surgeon in the revolution, and died in 1812, near Marietta, O.

MAJOR-GENERAL WILLIAM HART, Saybrook, Conn.; was in the revolutionary army; born 1746; died 1817, aged 72.

EBENEZER HART, Guilford. He was in the revolutionary army, and was killed by the British in a skirmish at Leete's Island, June 18th, 1781, aged 23.

BENJAMIN HART, Litchfield, Conn., eldest son of Timothy, of Wallingford, born 1752. He was one of those soldiers of the revolution who wintered at Valley Forge, and was present at the delivery of Washington's Farewell to the army.

TITUS HART, Colebrook, Conn., third son of Timothy, of Wallingford, born 1757, entered the revolutionary army when but 16 years old, and served until its close.

SELAH HART, Winchester, Coun., second son of Luke. He entered the revolutionary army at 16, and the war closed when he had served one year.

ORRIS HART, Oswego, N. Y., second son of Jonathan, of Farmington, b6rn 1791. He served in the war of 1812, under Captain Hubbard, Colonel Cleaveland's regiment. He died in 1855, at Oswego.

WARREN ROCKWOOD HART, Volney, N. Y., died in the United States Army during the Mexican war.

BENJAMIN BRUCE. HART, was a soldier in the late war, and died of wounds received at Bull Run.

DEACON ELIJAH HART, New Britain, was a soldier at the taking of Burgoyne.

WILBUR HART, son of Titus, died in the army, June 5th, 1864, aged 28.

WALTER JOHN HART, Fredonia, N. Y., born 1841. He entered the army, and was killed on the Peninsula.

WILLARD HART, Winsted, Conn.; was killed at Cold Harbor, Va.

LEWIS HART, Durham, Conn. He served nine months as private in the 1st Regiment Connecticut Volunteers, but was discharged on account of ill health, and resides at Pennfield, Ohio.

CHARLES HART, Durham. He served four years in the late war as corporal in the 15th Regiment.
