- Best advice for viruses is to keep your Anti Virus Programs up to date, and keep your computer current with the latest updates. There are plenty of available commercial Anti Virus programs you can use I use AVG Anti-Virus which is a free program for non commercial use AVG.

• KEEP UPDATED ON VIRUS NEWS - Are you receiving dire virus warnings in chain letter e-mails? Chances are they are hoaxes. Better check one of these companies first to make sure it really is a virus and not a hoax!

• Here is an example of a hoax virus. The "jdbgmgr.exe, aka Teddy Bear" file. You will get an e-mail telling you that the sender has found a virus on his hard drive and he will give you the steps on how to remove it. HOAX! HOAX! HOAX! Of course, you will have that file on your hard drive, because it's a perfectly legitimate file. Don't remove it. Check Sophos first here before doing anything rash! Don't you love computers? You can also check the other software companies by entering the name of the file in their search function.
