Anger Management
A 14 Week Course held on Thursdays from 7 pm-8:45 pm starting September 13th. This class will be meeting at Grace Fellowship in the Higher Grounds Room. Contact us at (603) 883-8273, extension 20 for information about the class fee.

This free class will be held on Wednesdays starting September 19th. The class will meet on the second floor of Nashua Christian Academy, 55 Franklin Street.

Boundries

Grief & Loss

Class Locations

The Greater Nashua Growth & Healing Center hosts its classes on the campus of Grace Fellowship Church. Most of the classes are held at Grace Fellowship Church, 43 Main Street, in the Higher Grounds room on the first floor, or in Nashua Christian Academy building at 55 Franklin Street.

General Information

Who are we?
The Greater Nashua Growth & Healing Center is comprised of a group of volunteers who are trained through a mentoring program. They are ready, willing and able to assist others interested in learning and growing.

The Greater Nashua Growth & Healing Center is a nonprofit charitable organization and sponsored by Grace Ministries of Nashua.

Who will the Center help?

Those interested in learning more about:
* Anger Management
* Finance Principles
* Relationship Issues
* Dealing with Divorce or Separation
* Handling Significant Personal Loss

Who is involved?

Our group leaders are individuals who have prior experience with the seminar and the course materials involved. Like yourself, they have experienced life’s challenges and have a desire to help others overcome and improve their lives through these programs. They should be considered “Peer Caregivers” and not professional counselors.

When does it start?
The Winter/Spring 2007 Sememster begins Wednesday, February 7. Each program runs on roughly a semester basis; please call to find out about the program that interests you.

What does it cost?
All of our programs are free of cost to the participant. Some of the seminars do utilize workbooks and these materials should be purchased by those attending at the first class.

We continually monitor the need for various programs and schedule them accordingly.

Class Descriptions & Details

Anger Management
Learn healthy and effective ways to express and control anger; includes workbook, lectures and group interaction; 12-14 wks.; materials fee under $20

Boundaries (not available Winter 2007)
Learn how to take control of your life by learning when to say yes and when to say no; find out what boundaries are and how to use them to improve the quality of your relationships; includes handouts, video segments and support group interaction; 9 wks.; no materials fee

Crown Ministries
Develop sound Christian financial principles for handling money; includes workbook and small group discussion; introduction + 12 wks.; materials fee $45 individual, $55 per couple. This class is held on Sunday afternoons.

Divorce Care (not available Winter 2007)
Designed to help individuals gain understanding and healing from the experience of separation and divorce using lecture, video and support group interaction; 14 wks.; materials fee $15

Divorce Care for Kids (not available Winter 2007)
A small group for youth, grades 1-12, designed to help them deal with the complex emotions they experience as a result of their parents’ separation or divorce; offers encouragement and tools to adapt to the changes in their lives; includes a workbook, activities, and support group interaction; 13 weeks; materials fee $10 or less.

Understanding Grief & Loss
For those who have experienced significant loss; gain new understanding about how grief affects you and those around you; find comfort, healing and strength; interactive lecture and group

Alcoholics for Christ
Taking the 12 step program and viewing it from a Christian perspective relating it to Jesus Christ. This program is sponsored by and hosted at the Grace Lutheran Church.
