Arts Ministry

Grace Fellowship Arts provide an opportunity
for ministry in many areas of the arts. Since our conception
in 2001, we have continued to change and grow as we have sought
God's face for vision and direction. We offer training in
the areas of mime, dance
& flags, hip hop, and puppets
to attendees of Grace Fellowship Church.
Our Arts ministry is willing to minister at
other churches subject to availability. For more information
or to book the Grace Arts ministry, please contact Janine
Myers.

Silent
Witness Mime Troupe
Instructor: Janine Myers
Silent
Witness Mime troupe usually meets on a Saturday morning
in Hernhut, however, we are currently done for this
year and will begin again in the fall. For information
on our summer mime workshop - see the home page. This
ministry is open to anyone attending Grace Fellowship
Church regularly, aged 13 through adult. All new students
are required to buy a copy of Mastery of Mimeodramme
1 video and workbook, available through the church,
or from www.mimeistry.com
store. If you are interested in joining, please
contact Janine
Myers.
We combine with the other Arts ministries
to create presentations for Grace Fellowship special
events and outreaches.
Storyteller
Storyteller is a 17 minute mime presentation
telling the story of Christ as an allegory. It is bright
and captivating, and draws the audience into the lives
of the characters of fear; anxiety; anger; weakness
and greed, and introduces them to the 'Storyteller'.
As the mime progresses they look to Him to see if he
can do more than just tell stories, can he really heal
them? He ultimately takes on each affliction, healing
the characters and dieing as consequence. Having taken
the audience on an emotional journey through the pain
and doubt of each of the characters, His ultimate resurrection
brings the piece to an exciting conclusion, demonstrating
the saving grace of our Lord Jesus.
Storyteller is choreographed by Todd Farley
of Mimeistry International, and training and performance
rights for this choreography can be purchased from www.mimeistry.com.
This is a perfect piece for an Outreach, but is also
enjoyable and encouraging for the body of Christ.
