Eleven of us (Ed R., Lyn, Anita, Chris, David R., Ed K., Fred, Georg, Jim, Renee and Rita) went on an AMC bushwhack to West Field (3691-ft; White Mountains, NH) in January 2006.

The group starts out toward the Avalon Trail, casting long shadows in early-morning light. Our objective, West Field, lies on the far side of Mts. Avalon and Field (seen in the background rising above the Baggage Handler's Building). We hiked the Avalon and A-Z trails to get to within a mile of West Field's peak.
