WOW 2000 Week of Workshops The Visual Arts Academy of Concord (NH) will be hosting their fourth annual Week of Workshops (WOW!) in Concord NH sometime in May of 2000. This event is designed for dollmakers at all skill levels and in all mediums. The Visual Arts Academy of Concord (VAAC) is associated with the Academy of American Doll Artists (AADA), also of Concord, NH. This years WOW event features 17 different doll artists teaching 36 different classes. Registration for WOW 2000 will be open early in 2000.

This section will contain information on who is teaching, what are they teaching and
when are they teaching it as soon as we have the information. WOW 99 was a tremendous success by all reports. This is definately an event to add to your calendar. Spring in New Hampshire is beautiful, the weather is generally very pleasant and the spring flowers are all in full bloom.

CHALLENGE DOLL Each year there is a challenge theme, past themes have been "My Imaginary Friend" and a "Personnal Poppet, a personna doll" WOW 99 dolls were judged by the teachers and certificates of merit were awarded in both cloth and all other media catagories. The catagories were just obscure enough that no one really knew what they meant. After all, the theme of VAAC is to be supportive and non-judgmental. And, as always, the dolls were fantastic.
