For years, one member of the Guild has given a tremendous amount of time and energy into organizing all kinds of field trips to various quilt shows, museums and events. Her biggest achievement is the annual pilgrimage to Lancaster PA for the big quilt show. Of course, this is only a ruse to deceive the husbands-it really is a major shopping extravaganza. These ladies bring enormous empty suitcases with them, which can hardly be lifted on the trip home.

Kathy Quilter is on the 25th annual "Shop Fest" in the year 2012, her credit card in hand, comfortable sneakers on her feet, and both arms overflowing with her purchases. In the fanny pack around her waist she has her keys, extra money and of course aspirin. One wouldn't want to be slowed down by a headache. So much to buy, so little time.

She is wearing jeans (sacrificed by my DH), and a bargello vest over her turtleneck. Kathy stands 28" tall and carries and handmade quilt. She is one of a kind.
