Check out what "David" is doing on his web site ("David" being a Wendy's
Whimsey doll made just for David K. Small - fiber artist, author, teacher, designer). He might be teaching, producing his own beautifully unique
hand-painted fabrics (excellent quality I might add), or working on a new book. David
has written a couple of books on foundation piecing and crazy quilting, and is working on a few new ones, including art quilting. I use
his Artistic Fabrics in some of my own dolls for that truly one of a kind look. Custom orders are no problem and there is no extra charge. If you are looking
for someone interesting to come and speak to your group - call David. Who
knows, he might even bring 'himself'.

Patti Culea does a lot of her dolls in hard to find silk charmeuse, Dharma
Trading has it, along with other fabrics, fabric paints, blanks and other
not easily acquired items. Visit their web site and get their catalog.
- Hancock's of Paducah
Hancock's of Paducah has on line color swatches of a lot of the materials
they sell. Prices are reasonable, good discounts for bolts (almost as good
as wholesale in some places) Free color catalog.
- Keepsake Quilting
Full color catalog of fabrics, medleys, quilt, clothing and some doll
patterns as well as lots of neat tools and accessories. On line specials
too every time you visit.
