Fire and Ice was sold within 45 days of completion, so this photo is the only photo of the set in its entirety. The next edition, planned for 1999 or early 2000 will be 'Amethyst and Emerald'. Size is approximately the same, with a planned board of cherry and oak.

FAQ: How did you get that picture? Well, if you look at it closely you will discover that it is really two pictures. I shot a photograph of the FIRE set on the board alone and then of the ICE set (Note: Use a camera mounted on a tripod to make this easier) then I cut and pasted the developed photos together so you could view both sides of the board at once. So no-I did not invent a new kind of chess game; no-you don't have to play on a triangle board and no-the pieces are not magnetic.
