After seeing the musical "CATS" on PBS this winter, I was intrigued by the makeup techniques that essentially turned human figures into felines in a very believable way. I thought it might be a lot of fun to try. Having done some of this when I made the LION for the FOLLOW THE YELLOW BRICK ROADseries, I thought to try my hand at a cat like figure. This particular feline stands on her own two feet, balanced by her wired tail, and is a defensive pose. Like most cats, she will proceed with caution but curiosity. Standing about 14" in height, she is fully needle modeled in the face and has both eyelashes and whiskers. She also has fully articulated hands with tiny little fingernails, too.
