About Us

Jim Devine, owner of Devine Flooring, LLC., has been a lifelong resident of Milford, New Hampshire. Shortly after graduating from Milford Area Senior High School, Jim started his career as a carpet installer's helper.

From there Jim purchased a second hand van and the tools necessary for installing carpet. He became a subcontractor working for several different stores installing their flooring products. In 1987 Jim became the head installer at New England Floor on Kelly Street in Manchester, NH.

In 1988, Jim was married and blessed with his first son. The hours of hard work continued. 1990 was another great year with Jim's wife Christine having their second son and Jim traveling throughout southern New Hampshire doing large commercial jobs.

In 1994, Jim and Christine decided to start Devine Carpet- "the store that comes to your door." The Devine Carpet "store" was a mobile unit outfitted with vinyl, carpet, and tile that would visit customers at their homes. As the flooring product line expanded, so did Jim's training in those areas.

As worked increased and word spread of Devine Flooring quality and attention to detail, Jim was not able to handle all of the work by himself. After a long search for capable installers, Jim put together a 2 man carpet crew, 1 vinyl crew and 2 tile crews.

Six years after starting Devine Carpet, it was time to expand into what is now Devine Flooring, a 3,000 square foot showroom located on Route 13 South in Milford, New Hampshire. The new showroom highlights a wide variety of carpet, tile, vinyl, laminate flooring and area rugs from quality, well known manufacturers. Devine Flooring is dedicated to their work, their customers, and their community.
