May, 2001
Safety Seminar: Many turned out to learn the future. The future in the air for pilots, that is. Straight from ATC we learned what's on the drawaing board for technology that will be available and/or required for flying in the future.

July, 2000
Concord Airport Family Day: This was our chance to bring everyone out to the airport. The airport was open to members and their families and here was something for everyone. Children enjoyed special activities and built model gliders that they flew when completed. One of Concord Aviation Services' great flight instructors gave a review of the rental fleet and radio panels. It was a fun and relaxing afternoon.

May, 2000
Association Cookout: Members gathered at the airport for some hangar flying, burgers, and dogs. Our intrepid cooking volunteers were cheered by all as we downed our burgers and planned future flights.

September, 1999
Concord Airport Days: Our big event. There's something for everyone at Concord Airport Days. The aircraft ranged from ultralight to WWII B-17 and B-24's. Rides could be had in the bombers, aerobatic planes, gliders, and helicopters. Visitors were treated to dozens of aircraft to view, demo's of unusual aircraft, tours of the WWII bombers, and a barbecue lunch. Planes flying in to enjoy the events became part of the display. Local radio coverage helped bring in over a thousand participants.

July, 1999
Safety Seminar: A speaker from Boston Center gave us an update and answered all questions asked. Attendees were eager to interact with Boston Center and they enjoy meeting pilots in person. The better we understand each other's needs, the safer we are in the air.

PACE (Pilot and Aircraft Coutesy Evaluation) program: To help us make sure we are safe in the air, members of the Portland Flight Standards District Office offered PACE courtesy evaluations to aircraft owners who signed up for reviews. Documents, aircraft, and flying skills were reviewed. It is a chance to have a review without risk of action against you or your airplane. All takers were impressed with the review and learned a lot.

June, 1999
Member Barbecue: If we're not flying, it must be time to get the barbecues going! Members gathered at Concord airport for some food, fun, and hangar flying.

March, 1999
Safety Seminar at Concord Airport: Bangor Flight Service came to keep us informed of the latest happenings and give a refresher on all the services they offer. Turnout was very good and the seminar was well received.

February, 1999
Alton Bay Ice Fly-In: Members met at Concord airport and flew in several planes to Alton Bay. We all partook of the available pancake breakfast provided by the local scouts. The weather was excellent and members enjoyed a chance to land with wheels on the ice.

January, 1999
Manchester, NH Airport Control Tower Tour: Members met at Concord airport and drove to Manchester airport for the tour of the tour. Air Traffic Control was open and helpful and allowed us to plug in to their radios. They were very patient with questions from 14 members for over an hour.
