Web site #2 is officially GONE.
Web site #3 is finally back online.
It is located at: www.darkpaw.net/anthro
THIS site (#1) will be mostly for older pictures, weather-related
stuff, and non-toon furry pictures.
That means that THIS site (#1) will generally not be updated much,
other than for general maintenance, and so forth. The other site
is now in progress, and should be fully operational by some time shortly.
Other updates: Site #1's "my thoughts" has some new additions.
Read about how much I hate AT&T in this write-up.
This site is FRAME-FREE
COOKIE-FREE and FORM-FREE
(oh yeah, and JAVA-FREE)

Here's a pic of my home city...Sydney, Nova Scotia. Well, it's a pic of downtown, anyways...I may digitize some other pics
of the city some day. :) I'm somewhat lazy. Some info: current Metro pop approx. 130,000; steel production center and other light industry; major Atlantic sea port
I haven't lived there in many years, but I thought I would show at least some of my background.
Here's some pictures of my former squirrel, "Amy". These came out kinda dark, so you may wanna turn the brightness up on your monitor a bit.
I say former because she lived in a tree outside my house in my previous location. I miss her..
I have updated pics of her, and my thanks to Squirrelley, but I haven't posted them yet (maybe someday).
Furry stuff:
(Anthrocon 2002 pic will eventually go HERE). :)
FURRY STUFF GOES HERE. IT IS A MESS RIGHT NOW, AND
NEEDS TO BE FIXED UP IN A BIG WAY.
(UNDER CONSTRUCTION for over two years...lotsa luck)
Something I'm a very strong fan of is anthropomorphism
(if you don't know what it is, ask me).
You'll find anything you'll ever need to know about it at the
FurryMUCK pages.
What is a MUCK, you ask? :) Well, it is a type of multi-user-database.
It's basically an online realtime interactive environment. FurryMUCK is the largest
in the world, and last I checked, had over 8,000 characters, 25,000 map locations,
and something like 200,000 objects. We were voted one of the top 5% best internet
sites in the world for 1995, and we're in the book of "fun things to do on the internet"
book that was released in the summer of 1998, so there has been a pretty much constant
flood of new characters over the past little while.
My character on Furry is DARKPAW. (This picture is the
closest one to date that I've found that fits my description. I will hopefully eventually
get a pic DRAWN of me.) :-) I am a Canadian Timber wolf. My full description is
HERE.
UPDATE: To see a really good pic of me, check out my friend
Wyn's homepage.
Darkpaw is a member of the Furry HELPSTAFF! I help furs with main problems of building,
new character setup, MPI (some MultiUserForth), magick, and general questions. :)
If you'd like to visit FurryMUCK, just telnet to "furry.org 8888", and to get on, type:
connect guest guest
I'm always on the watch for guesties! :-)
I can often be seen hanging around with some of my closer friends, including HoneyBadger,
HillBluffer, Austin_Dern, Fhaolan, Blackbird, Lady, Raster, Wyn, Wind-Dancer, Shekkie,
Anchorite.....to name a few....too many to list... :)
My favorite furry on the entire planet (and virtual Furry, as well) is the WOLF. For some
information on the misunderstood wolf, click HERE.
For a list of my pics of wolves, go through my FURRYPICS directory, or just click
HERE.
I am now a WIZARD on a new MUCK that is starting up, doing mostly Forth programming. :)
The site is: dark.picarefy.com 1666
THIS webpage may be hosting info on it soon. Stay tuned.
If you would like a character, please e-mail me at: darkpaw@mediaone.net and tell me the
character name that you would want, your initial password, and if you want to be set as adult,
please send your birthdate, and state/province that you reside. Or, you can fill out this
form that contains all the above data, in a bit more convenient method.
For a list of MUF (Multi User Forth) programs that I've written (my own versions of popular
ones), please check HERE.
Speaking of FUR...my favorite two anthropomorphic comic strips are:

One of the original Amigas, which
I mainly use to play old games...RARELY!
I also have a variety of MAC machines (older models), and two
Sparc-5 workstations, and a Sparc-2 workstation, all on my home
network with two PCs (had to use the PCs, sorry)

Weather Stuff:
I spent three years working with
Environment Canada. Here's the most recent
GOES-8 and GOES-10 satellite images.
GOES stands for Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite. The GOES-8 and
GOES-10 are the most recent
WORKING ones. :) The GOES-9 essentially failed due to a major amount of hardwre problems.
You can find more GOES images on the GOES homepage
Here's the current conditions where I USED TO live, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Since 1991, I have been a Storm Chaser. Out of all the tornadoes and severe
storms that have arisen
since I began chasing, the closest I have caught was a funnel cloud. :(
Most disappointing.
This year is a new storm year, though, and who knows what the sky will bring
to me this summer.
One can only hope.
Here's a couple links to
The Storm Chaser Homepage and
The Canadian Storm Chaser
Homepage.
Here's my weather pictures archive
(under construction)
My thoughts on the movie "Twister"
and some pointers on chasing.
Toons and furry pics:
My opinions on the way the world is....
And YES, I LOVE to center things!! :) Centering is awesome,
you love it, you know you do.
Debbie Gibson stuff:
I absolutely love Deborah Gibson. Her voice is touching,
and has brought me up many times when I feel down.
She has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard,
along with Celine Dion, another of my favorite female vocalists.
Deb's most recent album is self-titled as "Deborah", and was
released in July of 1997. This page is what I have setup
to devote to Deb.

STOP JUNK E-MAIL NOW!
I am proudly part of the campaign against JUNK E-MAIL!!
Keep watch here in the near future to hopefully have a list of sites on my INTERNET BLACKLIST
(Last updated June 3/97)
* Things to look for, to see if the header is fraudulated *
1. Firstly, the obvious. Check with InterNIC, to see if the site even
exists. (http://rs.internic.net/cgi-bin/whois)
2. DO NOT even look at the From: field. It's guaranteed to be fake.
The Reply-to: field is almost certainly fake, as well.
3. To read the order of sites that it went through, look at the "Received"
fields. These are read from bottom to top. The top of the Receiveds is
your site. (Received from **** by MYSITE)
Under this, is the site that sent it to yours. Under this is the site
that sent to the site that sent to your site. :) And so on.
The site you'll want to check is the BOTTOM of the Received list.
If you can't find the domain of this site (ie: ???@mysite.com has a
domain of mysite.com -- this is what you search for on InterNIC), then this
part of the header is fake. Go up one level to the next Received field.
Check the domains of these on InterNIC. Keep going until you have a valid
site.
* I've actually seen headers trashed so bad that the site directly under
mine (the first Received line) was fake. This usually happens in junk
sent by CyberPromo.com. They are very good at faking headers.
4. Check for a -0600 EST somewhere in the header. EST is -0400, and EDT is
-0500, so there is no possibility that EST can be -0600. This -0600 EST
is a common mark-point for faked headers.
5. IP numbers should be in SQUARE brackets. [] If they are in any
other kind of brackets () {} they are definately fake. Also, there should be
a space between the site name and the first [ of the IP number. As seen
here:
Received: from WHATEVER (slip129-37-200.a.site [205.208.90.1])
Note the space, and the [] brackets. The line should end in the ) as well.
6. (still under construction)
