The Darkness has opened its wings, and the creatures of the night are now free to roam in a world of night without a fear of being hunted, destroyed, or abused. It is here and now that the powers of night have joined to form a region of darkness, but still possessing all the beauty and splendors of the world we know. Here the werewolves hunt in the main streets of the city, and vampires walk freely throughout what is now called day. Day no longer has a sun, but only bright moonlight, and night is almost completely moonless leaving only darkness. The perfect setting for creatures mankind fears, but here they are the rulers and humans are the hunted.............

THEME

Look around, you see shadows, and dark corners, but you see nothing else.. And why is it that some are afraid to go out at night, or during a full moon? Its because creatures of darkness are lurking in every alley, behind every tree, just waiting in the shadows for someone to make a mistake and loose their way. But even still these creatures have to hide their identities, lurk in the shadows, sleep by day, or act like normal humans to hide their moonlit secrets.

Well not here! DarkDreams is based on creatures of the night, Werewolves,Vampires, things that go bump in the night!!! It is here in this world of darkness that they have come, come to RP and not have to HIDE. The time is set in the Present, if not slightly in the future. The world seems to be healthy, like pollution has not yet been a problem here. Nature is still untouched in some areas, letting the ones who live there take who ever dares to enter. But there is also the great underground, ghost trains running through dark tunnels into the darkness below this earth like place. Growing quickly is space, soon the darkness can expand perhaps to other regions in a quest to bring out the hidden life of the darkness. 

Well I guess If you haven't guessed it buy now the theme is DARKNESS, things found only in mans fears, in horror films, books, and out there in the unknown darkness of city streets or dense jungles. Creatures that look like man but have hidden secrets, perhaps they howl at night., or prey on the blood of the living. It is here that they gather and live , no longer having to hide. Here they live out mans deepest DARKDREAMS!

Acceptable Use Policy

DarkDreams is a public organization, and we PLAN and WILL keep this MUCK a good place for all to use. Therefore, any and all who have a character here must follow the rules stated. Any who fail to obey these rules, may have their character suspended, or even @toaded. Help make this MUCK a better place for yourself and other by following these simple rules. 

---- Harassment ---- 3

Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated, whether it is physical, sexual, verbal or whatever. If a character tells you to leave them be, then you better do it. Failure to leave a character in peace when they ask for it will result in.... 

1st-A strict warning
2nd-Suspension of your account for up to a month 
3rd-If you even think of having a third warning you will be @TOADED 

Harassment destroys good bonds. If someone is harassing you, notify a wizard, and the problem will be dealt with. Don't make it harder on yourself by taking the abuse from unwanted characters. Remember we WILL be watching, and if YOU GET CAUGHT there will be NO warnings; you will be @toaded immediately. 

---- IC/OOC ----

We ask you to limit OOC to the best possible, The MUCK is NOT in any way responsible for information you give out, or anything that happens to you off the MUCK. This MUCK is mainly for RP; we don't want people going around whining about their jobs, or how their SO left them, though if you find someone that is willing to listen, that's totally your choice. Just remember, others may be trying to RP, and they may not want to drop every thing and listen to your problems.

It's your choice whether or not you sit in the privacy of a empty room with a friend and talk OOC, if they wish to talk. But don't come crying to us if you give out RL info and the person turns out to be a weirdo. You have been told, and we will not take any responsibility for anything that goes on outside of DarkDreams.

---- ROLE PLAYING ----

Role Play is the pursuit of this muck, where people/anthros come to relax, or talk or what ever and be able to forget about their RL's for a bit. RP should not be tied in with your RL, and you may not force someone to role play with you if they don't wish to. It's completely on a voluntary basis. If you harass a character about it you will be dealt with in a proper fashion. RP should be enjoyable for all parties, even if its a battle between two werewolf packs, or a vampire and a vampire hunter. The MUCK is what you make it to be. Let's make it a great place!

Creatures of the Night

It will make a great deal of difference what you choose to be. Let's say you choose to be a vampire hunter :( well let me just say "I don't want to be around when you get caught" I'm not saying that you can't be one, but you are what you make your self to be and if you get caught in an alley and get mauled by a group of Vamps don't come crying to me. Make a good choice when creating a character. Humans are at high risk for being killed, but they are not forbidden here. There is darkness among the humans so I guess we need a little human among the darkness. 

Here is a list of some possible character choices, if you come up with something different go for it, just as long as it goes along with are darkness and even some evil. If you are unsure, ask a staff member or a wizard.

Character Creation

Ok You have decided you would like to get a character, You have read the General use policy, looked over the Creatures of the night list, and have read the Theme, Perhaps maybe you have even taken a look at the muck itself.
