At the same time you can offer advertising back to these businesses as a thank you for supporting the program.

Q: How long as BUSINESS BOARD been around ?

A: We started making BUSINESS BOARDs in the mid 1980's for friend with a chain of sandwich shops. .Just recently  we have become incorporated and are offering the BUSINESS BOARD as a fundraising tool for others to use.

Q: What assistance do you offer ?

A: Since we have run the boards ourselves, as part of our pilot program with Easter Seals, we know the in's and out's of making it work. We offer you assistance via e-mail, and telephone to help you start up as well as example brochures, Sponsor permission slips and Client contracts.

Q: What are the requirements to start ?

A: Your organization must be a legal entity. We go through a short qualifying process to help determine that the BUSINESS BOARD will work for you. During that process we help you determine how much money you want to raise and the resources you can draw on to make the program successful.  In general we are looking at three things.

  1. Your organization really wants to raise funds.  Believe it or not, some organizations just want large corporate sponsors.
  2. Your organization represents or covers a large enough geographic area.  For example the local PTA often does not get much support outside the local community, but a state or county wide PTA organization might cover a significant number of communities.  Our experience shows that synergy is built as multiple communities are involved.
  3. Your organization has or can obtain enough volunteers across the geographic area.  Be believe it is important to spread out the workload.  Having only one key person and overloading them would be a concern.

Q: What are the costs involved.

A: We have designed the program so that it can be operated with no initial cost to your organization. To ensure your success, and to prove that this program will work for your organization, we have you find a minimum of 10 Locations and 10 Clients. A portion of this money is used as our fee, the remainder starts your block in the "BLACK" and all remaining clients in that "block" represent even more raised funds during that year.

Q:How long does the organization have to sign up for ?

A: Our contracts give your organization the exclusive right to use BUSINESS BOARDs for fundraising in your community for a year.

Q:What paperwork is involved ?

A: Very little. You will need a permission slip for each place that you hang a BUSINESS BOARD and a contract for each Client for whom you will be providing the refilling service. We will provide you with examples of each of these. Additionally we provide a web site where your locations and clients are maintained, tracked and mapped to boards space that can be printed.
